Dear Makers of Chips Ahoy, Why?

This is going to be one paragraph about...... Here we go........ Why in Cookiedom did Nabisco ever think that Sour Patch cookies would be a hit? My kids have pretty much disowned me because I purchased these cookies thinking that they will be great.
