One Year Later: July
I remember feeling thankful.
Having a place to stay.
Having some stability.
But at the same time…
I felt pressure.
Because now I had something to lose again.
And that fear?
It was loud.
Gratitude and anxiety were sitting in the same room.
And I didn’t know how to separate them yet.
Over the following weeks, I began to figure out what I needed.
I learned that reminding myself that I am not in that moment was key.
No sugarcoating, just simple and factual.
My life was different then previous years.
And that’s when I noticed: I was on the pathway to peace.
